The main roles are played by Golden Globe-winning actress Rachel Zegler and Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei. Photography will be handled by Maryse Alberti, while a Bavarian team will be responsible for editing, production design, costumes, make-up and music. The FFF Bayern is supporting the production with 1.2 million euros and is also providing 10,000 euros for an intern incentive.

A simple farmer starts a rebellion against King Richard II in plague-ridden 14th century England and inadvertently becomes a legend of resistance. This is the subject of the feature film The Rage, which the award-winning writer and director Paul Greengrass (Golden Bear, Sundance Audience Award, Oscar nomination, among others) will direct from his own screenplay. The leading roles are played by Andrew Garfield (Golden Globe winner, Oscar nominee) and Thomasin McKenzie (nominated for the Critics’ Choice Movie Award, Independent Spirit Award etc.). The production designer is Renato Cseh (Poor Things). Filming will take place entirely in Bavaria, both at the Penzing Studios and on location in Upper Bavaria and Franconia. The Film Commission of the FFF Bayern supported the crew in their search for suitable locations. The Rage is a German-British co-production, with Supernix GmbH, based in Munich, realizing the project on the German side. Leonine Studios is distributing the film for Germany and Austria, Focus Features is distributing it in the US and Filmnation is distributing it worldwide. The FFF Bayern is supporting the production with 2 million euros.

Munich-based Hager Moss Film GmbH is producing the film together with DEAL Productions S.A. from Luxembourg (Alexandra Hoesdorff and Désirée Nosbusch) and Blonde Audiovisual Productions S.A. (Fenia Cossovitsa) from Greece for an international co-production. The broadcasting partner on the German side is ARD Degeto Film (Christoph Pellander and Sebastian Lückel). Brothers will be a six-part series set in Nicosia: The son of a German politician is found dead in the no man’s land that divides Cyprus. Greek investigator Eleni and Turkish detective Fatih work together for the first time in the country’s history under a UN mandate and uncover not only the murder, but also a conspiracy that reaches all the way to political Berlin, Munich and the financial world of Luxembourg. The executive producers on the German side are Sabine Wenath-Merki, Lara Stump and Sophie von Uslar, while the international broadcasters are RTL Luxembourg and Cosmote TV Greece. It is directed by Simon Farmakas, who is also head writer for the scripts together with Nicki Bloom and Marco Wiersch . The cast includes Mehmet Atesci, Désirée Nosbusch and many more.
