FilmNews Bayern is published as an online magazine in four issues per year and is aimed at professionals from the fields of film and television, games, VR and XR, including producers, directors, distributors, world sales companies, the press, institutions and committees, television broadcasters, creatives and film technology.
The concept and design of Film News Bayern is carried out in collaboration with the agency Schmid/Widmaier Design und Kommunikation, Munich.
The next issue of Film News Bayern (issue 02/25) will be published on May 8, 2025.

FFF Bayern supports international co-production "The Weight", which is set in Oregon and filmed in Bavaria
The FFF Bayern is supporting the production of the international co-production The Weight with 2 million euros. The film is a German-American co-production that will bring historical material to the big screen. The leading roles are played by Ethan Hawke and Russell Crowe.

CineCoPro Conference enters its third round: Focus on Canada
FILMFEST MÜNCHEN and the Bavarian Film Fund, FFF Bayern are continuing their successful partnership by welcoming a delegation of 20 producers from Canada to the third CineCoPro Conference.

Cliffhanger 2 with Sylvester Stallone is being funded and shot in Bavaria
The FFF Committee for the Promotion of International Feature Films and Series met today and recommended the project Cliffhanger 2 for funding with two million euros. A large part of the filming will take place in Bavaria. The sci-fi series Varsity (WT), in which Rise FX South is involved as line producer, will also receive funding.

FFF Supports Seven International Projects with 5.13 Euros
The FFF Bayern is currently supporting seven projects in the area of international feature films and series with 5.13 million euros. Among them is the remake of The Crow, which is being made in large part at Penzing Studios, with 2 million euros. 900,000 euros will go to the series version of the story Hagen by Cyrill Boss and Philipp Stennert.
