Production TV Film and Serial Formats

FFF Bayern promotes the production of films and series for television. The production of television films can be supported with up to 30% of the eligible costs. The maximum amount for individual projects is 600,000 euros. The production of television series (at least six consecutive episodes) can be supported with up to 30% of the production costs. The maximum amount is 1 million euros. The support will be granted as a conditionally repayable loan. The production of television series can only be supported if a television broadcaster is involved in the financing as a co-producer and linear exploitation is planned. Producers with a registered office, branch or place of business in Germany are eligible to apply.

Bavaria Effect

At least 150% of the requested subsidy is to be spent in Bavaria. The Bavaria Effect and the shooting days specified by the producer in the application must at least be achieved and become part of the funding contract in the case of a funding recommendation.

Application

The application for funding must be accompanied by a signed contract (or key data paper or deal memo) with a television broadcaster on the broadcasting of the film or series, stating the amount of the financial participation by the broadcaster and the distribution of the exploitation rights, in particular the license period and the license area for the broadcaster. It is also necessary to submit the screenplay (or screenplays), a calculation, a financing plan, proof of acquisition of the film rights and a crew and cast list. The application must be accompanied by a return flow plan showing the expected proceeds from national and international exploitation.

Applications for production funding for television films and television series may be submitted within the respective application window for one of the four funding sessions per year exclusively via the online application portal. Before submitting an application, the responsible funding executive must be contacted by telephone or in person.   • The Hippie Trail

    In den 1960er und 70er Jahren begab sich eine junge Generation auf eine abenteuerliche Reise gen Osten. Auf der Flucht vor überholten westlichen Konventionen und Werten und auf der Suche nach Freiheit und dem Sinn des Lebens reisten sie über Istanbul, Teheran und Kabul nach Kathmandu und Goa – die Geburtsstunde des legendären Hippie Trail. Diese Reise prägte nicht nur diejenigen, die sich auf den Weg machten – das Erbe des Hippie Trails wirkt bis heute nach.

  • Mabuse

    Serie, 6×40 Minuten. Eine Serie von tödlichen Anschlägen und Amokläufen erschüttert ganz Deutschland. Die Opfer scheinen willkürlich gewählt – ein Muster ist nicht zu erkennen. Die Täter handeln wie fremdgesteuert und stellen die Ermittler vor ein Rätsel. Als sich ein schauriger Avatar namens Dr. Mabuse zu den Taten bekennt, beginnt die Jagd nach einem Verbrecher, der mit digitalen Waffen die analoge Welt ins Wanken bringt.

  • Im Labyrinth des Lichts

    Sie ist ein Superstar der Gegenwartskunst: Yayoi Kusama. Ihre Bilderwelten haben von Japan aus die Welt erobert und Kultstatus erreicht. Anlässlich der Ausstellung in den europäischen Museen Fondation Beyeler, dem Museum Ludwig in Köln und dem Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam entsteht eine filmische Reise durch die Welt der Künstlerin entstehen.

  • Highter & Wolkig

    Comedy-Serie, 6×20 Minuten. Kiffer Wolke und Möchtegern-Manager Korbi kämpfen gegen die örtliche Bürokratie, um in ihrem bayerischen Dorf ein Cannabis-Café zu eröffnen.

    Romantic-Comedy-Serie, 6×30 Minuten. Der syrisch-deutsche Elektroingenieur Tamim und seine feministische Freundin Laura wollen eigentlich das Gleiche – aber auf andere Art. Nicht nur ihre unterschiedlichen Vorstellungen von Zweisamkeit, auch soziale Unterschiede sowie ein geplatztes Kondom stellen für das moderne Liebespaar eher unerwartete Hindernisse für ihre Liebe dar.
