Creative Europe Desk Munich

About us

Creative Europe, the European Commission’s funding program, combines the MEDIA (support for the European audiovisual industry), Culture (support for culture and the creative industries) and the “cross-sector” area (with offers for the target groups of both programs). Creative Europe has a budget of around 2.4 billion euros for the years 2021 to 2027.

MEDIA aims to improve cross-border cooperation, competitiveness, sustainability and diversity/representation/inclusion/gender equality in the European film and games industry. MEDIA has a budget of around 1.4 billion euros for the years 2021 to 2027.

The program presents itself in a new cluster structure: “Content” is aimed at producers of films, series, video games and immersive projects, “Business” includes support for distributors and world sales companies, as well as training, markets and the promotion of innovative tools and business models, and the “Audience” cluster is all about the distribution and visibility of European works, including support for film festivals, cinemas and release campaigns for European films.
